What we collect
Depending on how you use the site we may collect: (1) the email address you submit to the newsletter or Season Intel waitlist; (2) if you subscribe to Season Intel, the email and Stripe customer/subscription identifiers needed to keep that membership; (3) usage data via Google Analytics, measurement ID G-QY8Q00962P; (4) technical logs such as IP address, user agent, and pages requested, as needed to operate and secure the site. Outdoor Intel pages do not collect payment card numbers.
Payments (Season Intel)
Season Intel is an optional $29 CAD/year membership. Payment card data is entered on Stripe’s hosted Checkout and processed by Stripe (stripe.com). We do not put card fields on Outdoor Intel pages and we do not store card numbers. Stripe is the payment processor. Public Québec fishing and hunting zone pages and harvested Ontario FMZ pages stay free. Questions: hello@outdoorintel.ca.
Why we collect it
Newsletter email is used only to send the Outdoor Intel email you requested: the weekly note, and Season Intel news if you joined from the Season Intel waitlist or membership. Analytics (G-QY8Q00962P) helps us understand which public pages are used. We do not sell personal information. Affiliate shopping (Amazon Associates tag outdoorintel2-20) happens on Amazon’s site under Amazon’s privacy terms when you follow a product link. Season Intel emails include an unsubscribe note: write to hello@outdoorintel.ca (no public unsubscribe URL yet).
Retention
