Boreal Mountain Resort is a premier cross-country skiing destination in Manitoba. With a vertical drop of 60m, it offers nordic trails, boreal forest, winterlong season against the stunning backdrop of the boreal shield, prairie grasslands, Hudson Bay lowlands.
This area is best suited for beginner skiers who appreciate well-groomed runs and scenic cruising. Snow conditions are generally reliable throughout the core season. Boreal Mountain Resort is the kind of place that turns a ski trip into a lifelong obsession.

From Thompson, the drive is approximately 1.5-2.5 hours. GPS: 50.8°N, 95.5°W. Winter tires strongly recommended. Check road conditions before heading out in winter weather.

Plowed parking area at the trailhead. Overflow parking with shuttle service on busy days. RV overnight parking available with advance booking.

Season: November - March. January-February: Core season with the most reliable snow. March: Spring skiing at its finest — warm sun, soft snow, and après vibes. Some of the best powder days happen in March storms. Midweek visits offer dramatically shorter lift lines and better parking.
