From Ottawa, head east — the drive takes approximately 2-3 hours. GPS coordinates: 42.2°N, 81.2°W. The final stretch is on gravel road — high-clearance vehicle recommended during spring thaw. Cell service becomes spotty about 30 minutes before arrival.

Spring (May-June): Post-ice-out is prime time for Walleye. Water temperatures are ideal and fish are actively feeding after the long winter.
Summer (July-August): Switch to early morning and late evening bites. Deep water trolling produces best results.
Fall (September-October): Arguably the best season — cooler water triggers aggressive feeding. Fall colours make this an especially scenic time to visit.
Winter: Ice fishing is productive from January through March. Check ice conditions with local outfitters.

Maximum depth: 210m. The lake bottom features a mix of rocky shoals, sand flats, and deep drop-offs that provide excellent habitat structure. The surrounding landscape is Canadian Shield with dense tree cover right to the shoreline. Water clarity is moderate — 1-3 metres visibility depending on season. The eastern bay is shallow — use caution with motor boats.
